Urquhart Castle

This is the tour to take if you have read Diana Gabaldon's books or watched the Outlander TV series. This tour takes you to some of the places that were portrayed in the well known series. But even if you are not a fan of the Outlander series, this is a great way to take in the beautiful scenery and history of this magnificent part of Scotland.

Urquhart Castle is set in a wonderful panoramic views on the splendid Loch Ness. The tour will take you along Loch Ness and through the village of Drumnadrochit and then to the wonderful view of Urquhart Castle. Where we will stop and there will be plenty opportunity to explore the castle, the visitor centre and find out all about the infamous Loch Ness Monster. You will then enjoy a scenic journey via Loch Ness to Inverness.


Cawdor Castle

Culloden Battlefield & Cawdor Castle

The tour will start at the historic Culloden Battlefield where the renounced battle took place in 1746. Explore the battlefield and walk in the foot steps of those battle hardy soldiers. There is also a visitors centre, well worth the visit where you will experience a dramatisation in a cinematic room (a great experience). Also at the visitor centre you can obtain an headset to go around the battlefield which will bring the whole experience to life.

From there will we go onto the wonderful Cawdor Castle, which is home to the Dowager Lady Cawdor. The castle is set in a beautiful garden where you might see the the castles resident highland cattle. The castle dates back to the late14th century castle, inside take in the smells and view, see the wonderful interior, look out for the hollybush still in situ in the original tower. For all you Thespians you will see why the castle was also featured in Shakespeare's play Macbeth.


Dunrobin Castle

Dunrobin castle is truly a romantic place to visit, it is set in beautiful gardens with stunning views over Dornoch Firth. It is the family seat of the Earl of Sutherland and the Clan Sutherland. We will travel via the Great North Road and stop to take in the spectacular scenery.


Culloden Battlefield

See the spectacular castles and take in the views along the way. We will commence with a visit to Inverness Castle and then onto Culloden Battlefield where you can explore the battlefield and walk in the foot steps of those battle hardy soldiers from 1746. Then onto he home of the Dowager Lady Cawdor, Cawdor Castle and Gardens, take in the wonderful views. Our last castle to visit will be Brodie, a 16th century castle set in beautiful gardens and with woodland walks. For all you connoisseurs of art and antiques there will be plenty for you take in!


Drumnadrochit

Loch Ness Circular

Take a tour along Loch Ness and see it in all its glory and splendour. En route as we head on the north side to Drumnadrochit look out for any mysterious ripples in the water, who knows it could be Nessie!! If you don;t get a chance to see her then you will be able to see the next best thing at the Monster Exhibition Centre. From there we will head to Urquhart Castle and Visitor Centre where there will be plenty time to explore. The journey will then take us to the village of Fort Augustus where the Caledonian Canal goes through, where you might see the locks working. Heading back to Inverness on the southside of Loch Ness we will take in the splendid Falls of Foyer.

For all you Nessie followers this trip is a must!!. We will head to the village of Drumnadrochit to the Loch Ness 2000 Monster Exhibition. Experience a presentation via multi media taking you back 500 million years through those dark mysterious waters of Loch Ness and see why it is so famous.


Dores

Short Tour of Loch Ness South

To get a taste of this side of Loch Ness, let us take you on a short tour of Loch Ness. We will head from Inverness down the undulating road towards the village of Dores, where we will stop and take time to take in the beautiful shores of Loch Ness. Nestled at these shore is the Dores Inn where refreshments can be enjoyed before heading back to Inverness.


Whisky Trail

Strathspey Whisky Trail

If you have a full day and enjoy a dram or two then let us take you on a tour of Strathspey to Glaenfarcais Distillery. Our 1st stop will be at Strathspey Steam Railway and then onto the town of Grantown of Spey. From there we will head for the Gelnfarcais Distillery, where you will enjoy a tour and yes a dram. Then onto some wonderful scenery through some lovely Speyside Villages, through the town of Elgin and then back to Inverness.


Black Isle

The Beautiful Black Isle

Incidentally is is neither black or an island, on the tour you will find out more about why it is called the Black Isle. We will start the tour by travelling over the Kessock Bridge which will take us to the Black Isle. Stopping at the Black Isle Wildlife to see an array of animals both native and exotic. Then onto the coastal town of Fortose, where we will stop at the cathedral (dates back to 1300;s).and Hugh Millers Cottage (geologist & writer). After we will go onto the lovely town of Cromarty before returning to Inverness.


Glen Affric

Glen Affric is a beautiful place where there are Lochs, falls, mountains,and Fauna (especially many varieties of trees - birch, pine and oak). We will take the road to Beauly and then onto Glenn Affric also taking in Loch Beinn a' Mheadhain where we will visit the wonderful Plodda Falls. We will return via Glen Urquhart which runs along Loch Ness.


Roggie Falls

This tour is by far the most stunning, taking in breathe taking mountain vista and spectacular seascapes. Starting from Inverness heading towards he pretty coastal town of Ullapool. Travelling through quaint little villages, along the way we will take in many of the sights:- Roggie Falls, Shallcoh Gorge (just to mention a few) with plenty of opportunities if you desire to take picture of these and the stunning surroundings. This is a circular tour so we will return to Inverness taking in many of the beautiful Lochs en-route.


Kyle and Skye

We have developed this tour so visitors can really see the beauty and majestic view of the Highlands and Islands. Taking the road along Loch Ness we will head for Kyle of Localsh where we will stop to visit Medieval Eilean Donan Castle (the Island of Donan) which is situated where three great sea Lochs meet (Loch Duish, Loch Duich & Loch Aish). We will then proceed across the bridge to the Isle of Skye, the home of the majestic Cullins Mountains (Red & Black Cuillins).


Spey Valley

Spey Valley and the Cairngorms, areas of great beauty (for you heather lovers) and wildlife. To enjoy this we will head south from Inverness towards Loch Garten, where we will stop at the Osprey Hide. Then continue onto Aviemore to see the the spectacular Cairngorm Mountain, where the Funicular Railway is located. Views at the top are stunning and well worth the visit. There is also a restaurant at the top for refreshment.
